Delivering to Edson
Edson sits 186 km from our Edmonton yard, about 1.8 hours on the road. That's a run we make regularly, so getting a seacan to you is routine rather than a special trip.
A 40ft container travels one per load. Two 20ft containers can share a load, which is why ordering a pair costs far less per unit than ordering them separately — on top of the multi-unit discounts.
The truck tilts and slides the container onto the ground, so you don't need equipment on site. What you do need is a level, firm approach and room to manoeuvre — about 100 feet of clearance for the truck and trailer, 20ft or 40ft.

Shipping containers in Edson — common questions
Do you deliver shipping containers to Edson?
Yes. Edson is 186 km from our Edmonton yard — about a 1.8-hour drive — and it's a route we run regularly. We deliver 20ft and 40ft containers, new (one-trip) and used, on a tilt-deck truck that sets the container straight on the ground. No crane or forklift needed at your end.
How much does container delivery to Edson cost?
Delivery to Edson starts around $1,044 for a single container, based on the 186 km road distance from our Edmonton yard. That covers one trip — a 40ft container travels one per load, and two 20ft containers can share a load. Your exact delivery cost is calculated from your specific address when you build a quote, and we ship from whichever of our yards is closest to you.
Do I need to pay a deposit for a container in Edson?
No. You pay when the container is on your Edson property and you've confirmed it's what you ordered. If it doesn't arrive, or it isn't as described, you don't pay. We take cash, Interac e-Transfer, or certified cheque on delivery, and credit card online.
How long does delivery to Edson take?
Typically 1–3 business days from order to delivery, depending on what's in stock and the schedule. Edson is within comfortable range of the yard, so it's usually at the quicker end of that.
What does my site in Edson need for delivery?
Level, well-drained ground and a clear approach — about 100 feet of clearance for the truck and trailer, whatever the container size. Railway ties or concrete blocks under the four corners keep the container off the dirt and extend its life. Check with the Edson municipal office about permits if the container will be a permanent structure; storage use usually doesn't need one.
Can I pick up a container instead of having it delivered to Edson?
Yes. If you have your own trailer or can arrange transport, pickup from our yard is available and saves you the delivery charge. Give us a call and we'll get you set up. Buying more than one? There are discounts for more than one unit, any mix of sizes, delivered or picked up.
