Terms of Service
Last updated: May 21, 2026
1. Overview
These Terms of Service govern your use of SeaCanDirect.ca and any orders placed with us for shipping containers ("seacans"), delivery, hotshot, or related services. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
2. Pricing & Quotes
Prices are listed in Canadian dollars and do not include GST unless stated. Delivery is quoted separately based on the destination. Quotes are valid for 14 days unless we indicate otherwise. We reserve the right to update pricing due to supply, fuel, or exchange-rate changes — any change to a confirmed quote will be communicated before delivery.
3. Payment on Delivery
We do not require a deposit. Payment is due in full on the day of delivery, after you have inspected the container and confirmed it matches the order. Accepted methods: e-transfer, certified cheque, or cash. If the container is not as described, you are not obligated to accept it and no payment is owed.
4. Delivery & Site Access
You are responsible for providing safe, legal, and level access to the drop site. Approximately 100 feet of clear, straight approach is required for a 40ft container (less for a 20ft). If the driver is unable to safely deliver due to site conditions, a second attempt may require an additional trip fee.
5. Pickup
Customer pickup is available by arrangement. You are responsible for having appropriate equipment and trained personnel to load and secure the container. Title passes to you once the container leaves our yard.
6. Condition & Warranty
New (one-trip) containers are sold with a wind-and-watertight guarantee. Used containers are sold as-is in cargo-worthy condition; cosmetic wear, surface rust, and mismatched paint are expected. We do not warrant suitability for any particular use beyond storage.
7. Permits
Obtaining any required municipal permits is your responsibility. We do not verify local bylaws on your behalf.
8. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the container. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from delays, site conditions, or use of the container after delivery.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
